Lottery funding

MHMS has received an award from the Heritage Lottery Fund to enable the gathering and processing of historical data relating to 20 local streets. The award has also funded exhibitions, educational activities and this website, as well as aiding the development of our volunteer group.

Search the Directories

With the cooperation of Brighton & Hove City Council and the Brighton History Centre team at The Keep we now offer online access to the City’s historic street and trade directories. All of the pages are searchable by street name, which makes them even more useful! To view these resources, go to the Directory pages section.
